RACE TO MBA INSTITUTES BEGIN -- GEAR UP FOR THE CHALLENGE
The race for the MBA 2000 - 2001 season is now ON. The institutions have started releasing their advertisements in various national dailies. Herein the problems of the MBA aspirants start multiplying. There is a series of confusion and conflicting claims by various institution to get top of the mind recall amongst the candidates.
We would like to take this opportunity to elaborate on the relative strengths and weaknesses of various institutions. In our earlier articles we have tried to acquaint you with the exam patterns and the demands on the students. What follows here is an attempt to clarify the cobwebs of uncertainly. Frequent queries revised by candidates include :-
How good is this institute ? What are the placements like ? Should I apply to this institute ? What are the fee requirements ? What is the recognition provided to the institute ? How has it performed in the last few years ? What is the quality of education imparted by them ? What is the nature of services available at the institute ? These and many other questions suffuse the candidates with doubts which he / she is unable to get clarified..
Ideally an institution can be classified on the basis of few standard parameters. These include the infrastructure, faculty, facilities regarding computers, libraries. These factors are however secondary factors.
The primary factors are
PLACEMENT QUALITY OF EDUCATION FACILITIES LOCATION
The first thing to be kept in mind is the overall ranking of the institutes is a combination of several other factors too. The rating for the institutes keep varying from year to year. However the student should try and keep a broad list of 25 to 30 institutions as a target. Getting into any one of these should be the first priority. Then as you progress with your preparation gradually narrow down the choice to the top 10 ones.
The other significant aspect is the cost of education. There is a wide variation on this count. For further details feel free to contact us. It should be added here that bank loan facility is available at several institutes. While at some others there is no such facility. This makes decision-making difficult..
However if you are judicious with your selection you will select the right institute.
We have ranked the following institution according to the following scale :
Excellent - * * * Good - * * Average * N . A - not available
Along with this we are giving rating of the institute according to the following Scale.
1. Recommended without doubt.
2. Worth a try
3. Check out the current placements before applying
Remember , there is no short cut to success. Therefore the place where you finally join will depend upon the levels to which you are ready to work & sweat it out.
In our future articles we will acquaint you with the exam patterns and the demands on the students.
